Syllabus
In Lab C the students have to perform "advanced physics experiments"
from the list below. Each experiment gives 2 credit points. There is a
pre-exam prior to each experiment. The studnet has to submit a report
for each experiment. The regular lab course requires 2 experiments (4
points). It is possible to take the 2 points course instead of a 4
points course if there is a pre-approved PTOR on the basis of a laboratory project.
Experiment list:
- Scanning
Tunneling Microscope (STM),
- Ultra High Vacuum (UHV),
- Low Energy Electron
Diffraction (LEED),
- X Rays,
- Magnetic Susceptibility,
- Mossbauer Effect,
- Scintillation,
- Superconductivity,
- Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR),
- Hall Effect,
- Magneto Optical Trapping,
- Laser Frequency Locking and Atomic Clock.
- Laboratory project can give PTOR of
one experiment
